A stringent and elegant new classic
Designed in 1950 by Børge Mogensen, Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the Huntsman Chair in 2019. Presented for the first time at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Furniture Guild Exhibition as part of Mogensen’s ‘hunting cabin theme’, the chair is accompanied by the matching Hunting Table.
The chair unites two distinct design expressions: simplicity and complexity, resulting in a chaste design with unique details. Presenting a rugged elegance, the stringent design allows the natural and high-quality materials to speak for themselves: The luxurious saddle leather is held taut by buckles and brackets in steel or brass and contrasted by a solid wood frame. The design makes for a flexible and comfortable chair that allows for a variety of sitting positions.
Emphasizing Mogensen’s importance for the success of Danish Modern, the chair helped define his style. With its premium materials and timeless craftsmanship, the chair is ideal for a modern context as the versatile character of the chair will last for generations.

Should not be placed too close to heat sources.

Direct sunlight should not be allowed for long periods, especially strong sunlight.

For everyday cleaning, use a soft cloth(Do not use rough cloth to avoid damage to the surface) wrung out with clean hot water. If necessary, clean with low concentrated soap.
日常清洁，可使用软布（切勿使用粗糙布面，以免对表面造成损伤）在热水中浸湿后拧干来擦拭。如有必要，配以低浓度的皂液进行清洁。
For the seat, regularly vacuum your leather furniture with a soft brush and avoid using detergents and sharp implements. For everyday care and cleaning, we recommend using a clean soft cloth wrung out with lukewarm water.
定期用软毛刷清洁皮革家具，避免使用清洁剂和锋利的工具。对于日常护理和清洁，建议使用干净软布蘸取温水拧干后擦拭。
Recommend to treat your furniture with oil two to four times a year, or according to need depending on its positioning and use.

Designer
Børge Mogensen’s creative process produced long-lasting pieces with humans at the center. He became a highly-influential, post-war designer and a leading representative of Danish Modern.
Mogensen’s democratic design included simple and functional wooden furniture for both private and public spaces, with calm aesthetics and strong construction from quality. He believed in visual clarity and minimal decoration or experimentation, as seen in his classic Hunting Table and Deck Chair Set.
