I've been intending to do this project for a long time" (Ferruccio Laviani). In the floor version, Tobia is a portable luminator that projects powerful light upward. Slender, compact, easy to move, this lamp finds a place in any space: a concentrate of possibilities, packed into a simple sign.Flexibility and functional quality are the strong points of Tobia. The central node is not just a graphic gesture, but also an invitation to grip: the lamp becomes nomadic. A high performance light point, where colour underscores or attenuates its presence. In the wall version Tobia is available with and without cable, in five different colours. A special element allows easy fixing to the wall. Light is emitted upwards and downwards from the two extremities of the lamp.
Wall lamp with direct up and down light, consisting of an aluminium rod which has been curved and subsequently liquid coated or gilded. The wall mount is made of metal, in the same colour as the rod. The COB LEDs positioned at the ends diffuse a very broad beam of light upwards and downwards. In the 220 V version, Tobia wall lamp is available in two variants: with wall power supply or with a white external cable and foot switch, transformer on the plug.

An architect and designer, Ferruccio Laviani works with companies in both the furniture and the fashion industry, for whom beyond designing products, he also takes care of corporate identity and designs show-rooms across the world.
He is also in charge of artistic direction, communication, setting up exhibitions and events, always with a highly contemporary and recognisable style. He made his début in the world of lighting by designing the Orbital sculpture-lamp for Foscarini, an authentic icon of Italian design, together with his wall lamp version, Bit. The term sculpture-lamp can also be used to describe Supernova, a three-dimensional volume created with two-dimensional surfaces, Dolmen, a piece with a strong symbolic value, and Tuareg, a technological installation inspired by nature.
