American Aesop Hub
Nestled amongst skyscrapers in Manhattan's Flatiron district, Australian skin care brand Aesop has taken root on American soil with a new office space. Tacklebox Architecture was selected to design the New York office and American headquarters for Aesop Skin Care. The design brief calls for architectural modesty with a domestic quality and at the core of the office, an almost 10-meter-long Vipp kitchen invites for communal gatherings.
Six N. Five studio
Poblenou’s neighborhood in Barcelona, is home to the new Six N. Five multidisciplinary studio. A project by Isern Serra that transcends the standards of the conventional office in favor of serenity and creativity. Located on the first floor, at the street level, it is thought to combine public and private use in a natural succession of spaces through its L shape.
Named after its location on the rocky west coast of Sweden, Archipelago House is a minimalist getaway for a family of four. On a sloping plot, Norm Architects has completed a structure of four wooden volumes set into the cliff and mirroring local building traditions found in boat houses on the rocky shores. The Copenhagen-based studio invented a color and material-scheme reflecting the natural surroundings. And while the GPS states that we are just south of Gothenburg, the bespoke furnishing and minimalist aesthetics take us all the way to Japan.
